January 17, 2021 A success and a defeat on the third day of the Prada Cup for Luna Rossa.
After losing for the second time against the British of Ineos, the Italian boat won thanks to the overturning of American Magic.
All members of the American crew were rescued.
Many regrets for the Italian boat in the race against Ben Ainslie's boat.
The match race, in fact, was canceled by the wind shift committee, when Bertelli's AC75 was in the lead.
Luna Rossa had a better start in the second race as well, coming to have a double-digit advantage of 10 ''.
On the third side, however, Ineos took the good part taking the lead, managing and reaching the finish line with an 18 '' advantage.
For 'Sir' Ben Ainslie this is the fourth success in this Prada Cup, in which he is still unbeaten.
Instead, the last race was dramatic, with American Magic dominating and reaching the last mark with an advantage of over 40 '': here, however, the AC75 rears up and overturns at high speed.
Luna Rossa recovers, wins and takes home her second point of the day.
