Oberhof (dpa) - Three Slovenian biathletes had to go into quarantine at the World Cup in Oberhof.

As the world association IBU announced on Saturday, there were two positive findings for the corona virus in the team, one of them in an athlete.

Two other ski hunters were also identified as direct contacts and had to isolate themselves.

The IBU did not mention any names.

It was not the first time in Thuringia.

Among other things, two athletes from the Czech Republic and the entire Bulgarian team had to be quarantined.

Volunteers were also affected.

A total of around 7400 corona tests have been carried out at the previous biathlon world cups this winter in Kontiolahti / Finland, Hochfilzen / Austria and Oberhof.
