Cologne (AP) - One day after Christian Clemens said goodbye to the second division club SV Darmstadt, Bundesliga club 1. FC Köln apparently parted ways with another player.

According to information from the Internet newspaper "Geissblog.Koeln", FC is said to have terminated the contract with defender Frederik Sörensen.

As with Clemens, the Dane's contract would have run until the summer.

His new club is not yet known.

The 28-year-old Sörensen came to Cologne from Juventus Turin in 2015.

Last season he was loaned to Young Boys Bern.

After his return he was substituted on late in the first two games and was even in the starting line-up on matchday three.

It was his 100th competitive game appearance for Cologne, but after that no one came back.
