A new march of migrants left Honduras.

The 4,500 illegal migrants will have to cross no less than three borders - first the one separating them from Guatemala, then they must cross to Mexico to reach their final destination, the United States.

With babies in their arms and often with a simple plastic bag for any luggage, the migrants crossed their first obstacle: the El Florido border post, 220 kilometers from the capital Guatemala.

Hundreds of police officers in riot gear had taken a stand, but they finally let it go so as not to endanger the many minors present in this human caravan. 

To cross the Guatemalan border, in principle one must present identity documents and a negative Covid test, but even if many did not meet this condition, the migrants were able to continue on their way, determined to cross Guatemala and Mexico on foot. to find a better life in the United States.
