The alarm reached SOS at 11:41.

A man who was out fishing on the lake had then gone through the ice.

It was the man's wife who heard her husband screaming for help and sounded the alarm when she saw what had happened.

- He was stuck in his ice picks when we arrived at the scene, says rescue leader Jonny Hjalmarsson.

However, the rescue work was not entirely easy.

- The ice was so thin that our firefighters went through the ice several times before they arrived and were able to get the man up.

The fisherman was taken to hospital, according to the rescue service conscious but very chilled.

- There are minutes to do how well you manage when it is so cold in the water, says Hjalmarsson.
