Rostock (dpa / mv) - In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, 254 new corona infections were registered on Saturday.

The seven-day incidence, i.e. the number of corona infections in the past seven days per 100,000 inhabitants, is now 118.7 and thus slightly higher than the previous day.

Two other people died with or from the virus.

This increased the total number of deaths related to Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic to 298.

The total number of proven corona infections since March rose to 16,625 nationwide. 12,510 people are now considered recovered.

The Mecklenburg Lake District continues to have the highest incidence value with 203.0.

The districts Ludwigslust-Parchim (161.5), Western Pomerania-Greifswald (175.3) and the city of Schwerin (121.3) have values ​​over 100.

Only the Hanseatic city of Rostock has fewer than 50 infected people per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days with 41.6.
