A report came out saying that Korea's military power is the sixth strongest in the world.

According to a report by Global Fire Power, the US military power rating agency, Korea ranked 6th among 138 countries in the world with a military power rating of 0.1621.

North Korea ranked 28th with an evaluation index of 0.4684, down three steps from last year's 25th.

However, it was highly evaluated for the size of the troops and the number of tanks, rocket launchers, self-propelled guns, submarines, frigates, patrol ships, and fighters.

Global Fire Power calculates the military strength index by combining 48 items such as population, troops, weapons, and defense budget. The closer the index is to 0, the stronger the military power is.

The United States was selected as the country with the strongest military power in the world, followed by Russia, China, India, and Japan.

In terms of national defense expenditures compiled by this organization, South Korea ranked 8th with 48 billion dollars, one notch higher than last year, and North Korea ranked 59th with 3.5 billion dollars.
