Last week, during the assault on Capitol Hill in Washington, supporters of President Donald Trump sought to "capture and assassinate elected officials," said US prosecutors, according to court documents released on Friday.

A case filed by the Department of Justice in court calls for the continued detention of Jacob Chansley, who calls himself Jake Angeli, this QAnon conspiratorial man pictured shirtless in horned shaman attire during the riot in the deputy's office. President Mike Pence.

"It's only a matter of time, justice is coming"

"Strong evidence, including Chansley's own words and actions on Capitol Hill, shows that the intent of the rioters on Capitol Hill was to capture and assassinate elected officials in the United States government," prosecutors write of the assault on 6 January.

They said Jacob Chansley, 33, left a note for Mike Pence on the Senate dais where the Deputy Speaker had stood a few minutes earlier, on which was written: “This is that a matter of time, justice arrives ”.

During the day of chaos in the heart of American democracy, elected officials had to go into hiding because they feared for their lives and at least five people, including a police officer, were killed.

Authorities have prosecuted rioters, including a man who waved the Confederate flag in the Capitol, another man who wore a "Camp Auschwitz" sweatshirt and an Olympic swimming champion.

Donald Trump indicted for "incitement to insurgency"

Jacob Chansley is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.

According to the prosecution, he is a regular drug user and probably has mental problems.

"Chansley has spoken openly about his belief that he is an alien, a higher entity, and that he is here on Earth to ascend to another reality," the record reads.

Prosecutors demand that he be kept in detention because of "high risk of absconding and the danger he poses to the community."

Jacob Chansley is a supporter of QAnon, that far-right conspiratorial movement that saw the Capitol intrusion as a triumph.

Social networks have started to attack his followers, according to whom Donald Trump is waging a secret war against a sect of leftist pedophile satanists.

Donald Trump was indicted Wednesday for "inciting insurgency" for encouraging his supporters to march on Congress.

More than 20,000 National Guard troops have been mobilized in Washington, whose center was locked down early Friday, over fears of further violence during the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden on January 20.
