Berlin (AP) - The Berlin Volleys want to expand their series to seven wins in a row in the volleyball Bundesliga.

After the 3-0 win against penultimate TSV Unterhaching on Wednesday, coach Cedric Enard's team is faced with a compulsory task on Saturday (4 p.m. / sporttotal.tv) in the “small derby” at the bottom of the table, VC Olympia Berlin.

"It would be presumptuous of us to believe that we could get something in this game," said VCO manager Arvid Kinder.

The young players last managed to win a set against the high favorites on January 30, 2013.

Due to injury, the BR Volleys have to do without a number of top performers such as Benjamin Patch and Samuel Tuia.

"We will not take any risks with our ailing or injured players and will build them up carefully," announced Volleys coach Cedric Enard.

The chances of the VC Olympia of a surprise are not significantly increased by the personnel situation at the opponent.

"It doesn't make too much difference with the BR Volleys bench," says Kinder.

The VCO junior team, which has not yet won this season, is also plagued by injury concerns, especially in the middle block.

Maximilian Kersting is unable to work there with a torn ankle ligament, Jan Breburda struggles with knee problems.

On the other hand, Julian Hoyer, who was last sick of the flu, is ready for action again.
