The fact that a school closes to prevent the spread of infection or due to a shortage of teachers does not automatically mean that an educational debt arises.

- Fristadsskolan closed because we had a large spread of infection among the students.

But we could switch to distance education immediately and no lesson time disappeared, says Lisa Edholm, principal at Fristadsskolan in Eskilstuna and responsible for the municipal summer holiday school.

But some schools have not done as well.

Lisa Edholm says that it is up to the principals together with the principals of the schools to find ways to make up for the lost study hours - to repay the education debt.

In the clip above, she talks about two possible solutions that Eskilstuna municipality is looking at more closely.
