Will she hold on this time?

Météo-France announces a new snowfall in the Hauts-de-France region on Saturday.

We will stay very far from the accumulations observed recently in Spain even if the orange vigilance has all the same been triggered.

From Saturday, 10 a.m., and until 10 p.m., the five departments of Hauts-de-France will be placed on snow-ice orange vigilance.

Nothing exceptional for Météo-France, which considers this snowy episode "classic for the season".

Cold, snow, ice.

It's winter

Temperatures, still slightly positive this Friday afternoon, will drop drastically during the next night.

The frosts will be generalized "with -1 to -4 degrees in the interior, locally -5 to -6 degrees in Avesnois and Thiérache" announces Météo-France.

In the morning of Saturday, a disturbance carrying snow will approach the coast.

It will extend over the western half of the region at midday, then over the eastern half in the afternoon.

In view of the expected temperatures, the snow will stick to the ground.

"It is expected 2 to 5 cm of snow on the western half of the region, locally 7 cm, 3 to 7 cm on the eastern half, locally 10 cm".

After the snow, it will be the turn of freezing rains to make their appearance.

First to the west of the region, then east for the evening.

With all this, there may be a mess on the roads.

It will be all the more important to anticipate his return home so as not to risk breaking the curfew, which begins at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
