Würzburg (AP) - The newly formed Würzburger Kickers have missed a home win in the duel of the relegation candidates despite a clear majority after two relegations for Eintracht Braunschweig.

The bottom of the table in the 2nd Bundesliga had to be content with a 0-0 draw in their own stadium on Friday evening.

The lucky point for the third from bottom from Lower Saxony was recorded by the excellent goalkeeping veteran Jasmin Fejzic.

In addition, the Würzburg team was very unlucky when Dominic Baumann (62nd minute) and Rolf Feltscher (90th) hit two posts.

High intensity and many duels determined the game, which only changed when they were sent off.

Dominic Wydra first saw yellow-red after repeated fouls (51.).

Manuel Schwenk later followed with a straight red after a foul from behind against Baumann (66th).

With eleven against nine, the Würzburg team pushed, but they didn't score.

Fejzic had bad luck.

The 34-year-old parried brilliantly against David Kopacz (56th), Patrick Sontheimer (59th) and the new Kickers center forward Marvin Pieringer (65th).

In the table, the Braunschweig team kept their four-point lead over the Kickers.
