In the Eifel and Hunsrück they want to "take action against parking offenders and punish non-compliance with the corona rules", the Trier police announced on Friday.

Around the Nürburgring in the Eifel, for example, the Adenau police want to carry out controls and take action against "unauthorized parking on meadows and in forests".

In the Eifel, the access roads to the winter sports areas “Schwarzer Mann” and “Wolfsschlucht” are also closed due to the risk of snow breakages up to and including January 17th, according to a message from the Bitburg-Prüm district administration.
The winter sports center on the Erbeskopf also has to bend to the weather conditions and is currently not accessible for those interested in excursions.
A spokesman for the Bernkastel-Wittlich district administration said the access road L 164 was closed up to and including Monday (January 18) due to the continued risk of snow breaks.
The closure of the access roads K 130 and K 50 will continue until the end of January.

On the Donnersberg, the driveways will be cordoned off on Saturday and Sunday from 9.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. to avoid a rush of visitors.
