The Italian, who resided in the area, should have picked up his son at 4 p.m. but did not show up for this meeting.

Research, to try to find it, was therefore carried out part of the night on the various sectors of the domain, with the ski slope service of the resort, but they were unsuccessful.

His body was finally found Thursday morning, when the search resumed.

It was 2,200 meters above sea level, buried in snow near the ski area.

This is the first death following an avalanche in the department this season.
