“The ECHR also concluded that a number of accusations brought by the Ukrainian authorities against the Russian Federation were not proven,” the message says.

In particular, the department noted, we are talking about alleged cases of murder of civilians, groundless detention of foreign journalists, illegal seizure of property of the Ukrainian military.

Also, according to the court, accusations of discrimination against ethnic Ukrainians, politically motivated criminal prosecution of pro-Ukrainian persons, refusals to register religious and other organizations have not been proven, the ministry added.

Earlier it was reported that the ECHR recognized the complaint of Ukraine partially admissible due to the entry of Crimea into Russia and will continue to consider it.

Crimea became a Russian region after a referendum held there in March 2014, in which most residents voted in favor of reunification with Russia.
