The supervisory unit consists of ten people divided into five teams.

- Yesterday we were at Gränden in central Linköping and checked.

It went well and we were well received.

We checked that there is hand alcohol, that there is information about keeping your distance and how many people can stay in the store at the same time, says Tobias Fält, communicator at the County Administrative Board of Östergötland.

Tip

The authority is preparing status pictures and gathering information from the region and municipalities to see where the controls are most useful.

Tips from the public also come in.

- But we have no vested interest in making unannounced attacks.

The purpose of this work is to reduce the spread of infection and to help the operations to do the right thing, says the head of the supervisory unit, Kristoffer Hellberg.

Nothing on Gotland

Tomorrow, Friday, the unit will check Ingelsta in Norrköping and Bråstorp in Motala.

Next week, the focus will be on gyms and leisure facilities.

On Gotland, no new unit is created.

- The governor will decide how we will organize this.

We do not have such large dimensions of the workforce, says Kicki Scheller, unit manager and defense director at the County Administrative Board of Gotland.
