Braunschweig (dpa) - The basketball players from Syntainics MBC celebrated their first success in 2021.
The Weißenfels team won their guest appearance at the Basketball Löwen Braunschweig on Thursday with 104: 91 (49:54) and, with their fifth win of the season, moved past the Lower Saxony team to ninth place.
Michal Michalak (23 points), Benedikt Turudic (22) and Aleksandar Marelja (14), who only signed up on Sunday, had the largest share of the success.
For the home side, Bazoumana Kone (21), Martin Peterka (16) and Gavon Schilling (14) scored the most points.
The Weißenfelser found the game very well and were 40:31 ahead after 16 minutes.
But in the final phase of the second quarter, the Central Germans lost control of the game.
Braunschweig turned the game around with a 23: 7 run to 54:47 (19th).
In the second half, the two teams had an open exchange of blows for a long time, in which the Weißenfels team clearly separated in the middle of the fourth quarter (89:79, 35th) and never gave up this advantage.
