Berlin (dpa / bb) - Berlin's Senator for Economic Affairs Ramona Pop (Greens) has accused the federal government of taking too much time with corona aid for companies.

"The federal government announces billions, and there are small amounts to those affected," said Pop on Thursday in the Berlin House of Representatives.

"But I expect the federal government to deliver here and not just keep announcing."

The November and December aid have so far only reached 1.5 billion instead of 40 billion, around 4 percent, criticized the Green politician.

"We have a particular drama with a view to the bankruptcies that threaten," said Pop.

"It would be hard to beat in terms of cynicism if en masse companies were driven into bankruptcy due to a lack of aid."

That is exactly the current situation in January.

The disbursements did not materialize.

For the state of Berlin alone, it is about 350 million euros.

There was also criticism of the federal government from the business world because of the delays in the payment of November aid, which only began on Tuesday.
