In Italy, over 17 thousand cases of COVID-19 were detected per day

This is reported by Rai News with reference to the country's Ministry of Health.

During the day in Italy, 522 patients with coronavirus died, a total of 80,848 people died. 

Earlier, the Italian government extended the COVID-19 emergency until April 30.
