Munich (dpa / lby) - In 30 Bavarian districts and cities, the corona infection numbers determined by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) are above the important limit of 200 per 100,000 inhabitants within a week.

The highest value in the Free State was reported on Thursday morning with 291.8 for the district of Wunsiedel.

It was followed by the city of Bayreuth (282.1), the district of Kronach (275.7) and the city of Nuremberg with 274.1 (as of January 14, midnight).

From 200 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants, stricter measures against the virus take effect.

Excursions are then only possible within a radius of no more than 15 kilometers around the place of residence.

The rule comes into force automatically for the first time as soon as the RKI reports more than 200 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within one week in urban or rural districts.

The authorities can only override this rule if the value is below this value for at least seven days.

It can therefore still apply in cities and districts where the figure has fallen below 200 again.

In addition to the four cities and districts already mentioned, the RKI currently has 26 more than 200.

In descending order these are: The city of Passau, the districts of Roth, Berchtesgadener Land, Kulmbach, Deggendorf, the city of Coburg, the district of Lichtenfels and the city of Hof.

The districts of Passau, Coburg, Regen, Rottal-Inn, Bayreuth, Tirschenreuth, Ebersberg, the cities of Rosenheim, Landshut, Schwabach and the districts of Donau-Ries, Miesbach, Hof, Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen are also above the mark.

The values reported by the RKI in the Unterallgäu district, the cities of Ansbach, Kaufbeuren, Fürth and the Augsburg district are only just above the limit.
