The Norwegian Tiril Eckhoff won her third success in a row in the Biathlon World Cup by dominating the Oberhof sprint on Thursday, which the French Justine Braisaz-Bouchet finished at the foot of the podium (4th).
Eckhoff (30), who signed the 19th victory of his career and the 6th of the winter despite a shooting foul, has won five of the last six races and is putting enormous pressure on his compatriot Marte Olsbu Roeiseland, leader of the classification general but who had to settle for 8th place.
The Italian Dorothea Wierer, double holder of the big crystal globe, finished 2nd ahead of the Austrian Lisa Theresa Hauser.
With her 4th place, Justine Braisaz-Bouchet, author of a 10/10 with the rifle, for her part achieved her best result of the season just in front of Anaïs Chevalier-Bouchet (5th), who could have played the victory without a fault to his standing shot.
A new missed opportunity for the Blue, who have no success and only two podiums in this 2020-2021 fiscal year.
“I have felt good on the shooting range since the start of the season, however explained Justine Braisaz-Bouchet. I had a pang in my heart seeing the girls on the podium but I take everything and I feel more serene. Today, I felt good even if there are still a few things to correct.
