Haßloch (dpa / lrs) - Because the police wanted to arrest him, a man in Haßloch (Bad Dürkheim district) was freed from an emergency.

The officers drove to the 63-year-old's home on Thursday to execute an arrest warrant.

There they met the man who had been lying helpless in his apartment for four days after a fall.

He was taken to a hospital.

The police did not want to comment on why the man should be arrested.

The arrest warrant against him has now been suspended.

"First he needs medical care," it said.
