Criticism of the government is not long in coming when this year's first party leader debate begins.

The main focus is on the corona pandemic and its management.

- The spread of infection is not stopped by a serious tone at press conferences.

And it does not get better when those who preach to others do not themselves live as they teach, says the Moderates' party leader Ulf Kristersson.

"Incredible"

He is of course referring to the former MSB head Dan Eliasson's trips to the Canary Islands, where he went over the Christmas and New Year weekend.

Later it also turned out that he had made a trip there during the autumn.

- It is inconceivable that no one in the government knew that the head of Sweden's crisis preparedness authority left the country in the middle of the crisis.

In other countries, it would have had consequences for more people than the boss on the trip, says Ulf Kristersson.

"Go before"

The Center Party's leader, Annie Lööf, also took the opportunity to give a thumbs up to the government.

- We can guess a dawn.

Vaccines that can hopefully change a lot in our lives are now spreading around the world.

We learn more about the disease every day.

Now is the time for all of us to take our responsibility.

Not least government ministers, members of parliament, directors general.

Go ahead and act in a way that reduces the spread of infection in society, follow the advice that authorities and ourselves have emphasized for as long as possible.
