Al-Jazeera correspondent in Kuwait reported that Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah submitted the resignation of his government to the Emir of the country, one day after his cabinet members submitted their resignations.

And according to the official Kuwait News Agency, this came during the Amir's reception, Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister at Bayan Palace in Hawalli Governorate.

The agency stated that the Prime Minister submitted to the Emir the letter of resignation of the government, without details of a decision on it.

On Tuesday, the Council of Ministers submitted its resignations to the Prime Minister, less than a month before his formation.

This step came in light of the blocked horizon of the relationship between the government and the National Assembly, following an interrogation directed by 3 members of Parliament to the Prime Minister, and 38 of the 50 deputies declared their support for him.

Which means there is enough cover to overthrow the prime minister.

The director of the Al-Jazeera office in Kuwait, Saad Al-Saeedi, said that after its resignation today, this government will be the second shortest-lived government in the history of Kuwait.
