China News Service, January 13th. According to a report from the Greek “China-Greece Times”, the Greek epidemic continues to spread. Many medical experts have expressed their concerns about the arrival of the third wave of the epidemic and suggested that the government consider extending the period of the complete lockdown.

In addition, on the 12th local time, the Prime Minister of Greece wrote to the President of the European Commission von der Lein, proposing to create a unified standard digital COVID-19 vaccination certificate within the EU.

According to reports, the still severe epidemic situation makes many experts not optimistic about the lifting of the blockade in Greece.

Gogos, a member of the Greek Government Medical Expert Committee, said the committee may recommend to the government to implement stricter lockdown measures.

Gogos pointed out that during the first total blockade, various health regulations were well observed, but many people have been lax, which makes the situation very difficult.

What is more worrying is that the repeated outbreaks of the new crown have increased the difficulty of the fight against the epidemic.

According to another report, Greek Prime Minister Mizotakis sent a letter to European Commission President Von der Lein, proposing to create a unified standard digital COVID-19 vaccination certificate within EU member states.

Mizotakis also attached a draft vaccine certificate designed by the Greek authorities to the letter, which will be used when people travel on airplanes, trains, coaches and ships.

It is said that EU leaders will discuss this proposal at the next European Council.

Regarding the issue of new crown vaccination, Maria Theodoridou, head of the Greek National Vaccination Committee, said that “the new crown vaccine seems unlikely to affect pregnant women or fetuses.”

But she also added that since pregnant women are not included in clinical trials, it is not recommended to vaccinate pregnant women. If pregnant women have already received the first dose of vaccine, they should not receive the second dose for now.

Theodoridou said that for pregnant women who are at a higher risk of infection due to their working environment, these situations should be considered separately, but it should be pointed out that in such a high-risk situation, pregnant women should choose to vaccinate.
