Munich (dpa / lby) - The streets were slippery, but there was no traffic chaos on Wednesday night.

The police reported isolated black ice accidents in the morning, mostly only with property damage.

“There were a couple of slides,” it was said in the police headquarters of Upper Bavaria South.

There was a little more going on in Swabia and Lower Bavaria.

There, in the evening and at night, trucks had drifted off the road when it was slippery.

On the A8 motorway in the direction of Stuttgart, a tank truck slid into the guardrails between Dasing and Adelzhausen.

A part of the 600 liters of diesel leaked out, said a spokesman for the Swabian North Police Headquarters.

In addition, the 40-ton truck was standing across and blocked two lanes until the early morning.

According to the police, a winter service vehicle also burned out on the A8 shortly before Baden-Württemberg.

The cause is still unclear, said the Swabian South / West police headquarters in Kempten.

In Lower Bavaria, two trucks on the B388 near Eggenfelden came off the lane within a few hours - also because of slippery roads.

A van slipped off the lane near Pfarrkirchen, and a few hours later a truck skidded a few hundred meters away.

In Upper Bavaria, the police headquarters in Rosenheim registered three accidents with personal injury and six with property damage from 8:00 p.m. to early Wednesday morning.

In the Allgäu, too, there were a few slightly injured and sheet metal damage after several accidents.

A similar picture was presented to the police in Lower Franconia.

It had looked different on Tuesday afternoon.

Many accidents had occurred during heavy snowfall.

In Lower Bavaria alone, according to the police, there were "around 110 weather-related missions", mostly with sheet metal damage.

Vehicles went off the road or did not make it up the mountain.

A person was seriously injured in one of the accidents.

The German Weather Service predicted hardly any precipitation for Wednesday.

Only on Thursday night could it snow again, especially in the southwest, from Oberallgäu to Werdenfelser Land.

Especially in locations above 800 meters, 15 to 30 centimeters of fresh snow could fall, according to the DWD.
