Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed all citizens to receive a domestic vaccine for the new coronavirus from next week and to focus on developing a vaccine that is effective against mutated viruses.

Russian President Vladimir Putin held an online meeting in the government on the 13th and instructed him to inoculate the new coronavirus domestic vaccine "Sputnik V" on a larger scale from next week.

As a result, from January 18th, all citizens will be vaccinated.

"We are paying close attention to the situation in Britain," Putin said, calling for efforts to research and develop vaccines that are effective against mutated viruses.

In response, the deputy prime minister in charge reported that another domestic vaccine approved last October was found to be effective against these viruses as well.

In Russia, the spread of infection continues to be slow, with new infections being confirmed on a scale of 20,000 people every day.

For this reason, the Putin administration wants to further promote vaccination, but many people have doubts about its safety and efficacy, and some have questioned how far the vaccination will spread.
