On Wednesday, Israeli police arrested more than 15 Palestinians of the Green Line who participated in a demonstration in central Nazareth to protest against a visit by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the city.
The police assaulted the demonstrators with repression, beatings and wastewater spraying. The arrests included a number of political leaders, activists, and assistants of the Arab representatives in the Knesset.
The demonstration took place at the invitation of the national forces in the city of Nazareth against Netanyahu's visit to one of the vaccination centers against the Corona virus and to the municipality of Nazareth, as it is a misleading visit that is part of Netanyahu's election campaign, as he seeks recently to attract the votes of Palestinians within the Green Line before the next Israeli elections, and to cause a rift in Ranks of the unified list of Arab parties.
The Anadolu News Agency said that a number of protesters were injured, including Arab Knesset deputies, Matans Shehadeh, Aida Touma Suleiman, Heba Yazbek and Sundus Salih, in addition to former MP Jamal Zahalka.
Since the start of the Corona epidemic at the beginning of last year, several areas with the Green Line have witnessed protests against discrimination practiced by the Netanyahu government against the Palestinians of the interior.
The protests included an open strike called by local councils and Arab municipalities inside the Green Line last May, denouncing the government's decisions that granted less than 2% of the aid it granted to Jewish municipalities to face losses due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus.

Clashes and injuries
In the West Bank, a number of Palestinians were bruised or suffocated by tear gas, during clashes with the occupation army in the village of Aqraba, south of Nablus, in the northern West Bank.
The Anatolia News Agency said that the confrontations erupted after the Israeli army prevented Palestinian farmers from accessing their lands, while allowing settlers to enter those lands, plow and cultivate them.
The agency added that the Israeli occupation forces fired rubber bullets and tear gas canisters at dozens of Palestinians who went to protect the village's lands from attacks by settlers.
A number of protesters were exposed to bruises during fist clashes with settlers and occupation soldiers, while a number of people who were suffocated received first aid at the same place.
The confrontations are frequent in the village of Aqraba due to the repeated attacks of settlers coming from the settlements established on its lands in an attempt to seize more lands and expand those settlements.
