The deputy and former minister Marielle de Sarnez died this Wednesday evening at the age of 69 in the Parisian hospital of Pitié-Salpêtrière, announced François Bayrou.

Former Minister of European Affairs of Emmanuel Macron, the president of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly suffered from leukemia. 

Marielle de Sarnez, MoDem MP and former Minister of European Affairs of Emmanuel Macron, died Wednesday at the age of 69 at the Parisian hospital of Pitié-Salpêtrière, announced the president of the MoDem François Bayrou.


"Here is the day in excess. Marielle, so talented and so courageous, Marielle de Sarnez has just left. Our sorrow is immense", also posted on Twitter the centrist leader.

Marielle de Sarnez, who suffered from leukemia, was chair of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee.
