Last year, 118 wildlife accidents occurred in Värmland between 1 and 12 January.
This year, the corresponding figure is 82.
17 accidents in one day
But in recent days, the number has increased rapidly, between 1 pm on Tuesday and 1 pm on Wednesday, for example, 17 wildlife accidents were reported to the police.
- It is probably due to the weather change that makes the animals move in a different way.
It is completely natural because it becomes more difficult for them to move in the snow, says Erica Broström.
