Munich (dpa / lby) - Regardless of a falling popularity for its Corona crisis management, the CSU in Bavaria continues to gain favor with the voters.

If there were state elections in Bavaria next Sunday, the CSU, under the leadership of Prime Minister and party leader Markus Söder, would have 48 percent of the vote and would have a good chance of an absolute majority of the seats in the state parliament.

This was determined by the infratest dimap institute on behalf of the BR policy magazine “Controvers” for its BayernTrend.

In the previous BayernTrend in October, the CSU was still 45 percent.

According to the survey, the Greens would achieve 19 percent (-2). The Free Voters as the currently smaller coalition partner would come to eight percent and also increase (+1). The SPD and AfD are in the BR-Bavaria trend at seven percent (-1 each). Like the Left, the FDP would not be represented in the state parliament with three percent.
