Worrisome arrest last Friday in the commons of a building in Belfort, in a sensitive area of ​​the city.

Two men, in their thirties, unfavorably known to the courts, were arrested in possession of half a bread of explosive, detonator wires, a hunting rifle and about 200 ammunition of different calibers according to

the East Republican

who revealed the information.

The anti-terrorism prosecution is not seized

The two individuals were indicted and placed in detention according to the public prosecutor.

They were also indicted for "acquisition and possession of weapons or elements of weapons of categories A, B and C" and "transport without legitimate reason of weapon, ammunition or their elements of category C", specified the prosecutor.

For the time being, the "National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor's Office (Pnat) has not taken up the procedure opened following the discovery of these explosives and detonators", specified the Belfort prosecutor, Eric Plantier, who opened a judicial information "of the heads of transport of explosive products or devices by at least two people".

The departmental security of Belfort and the judicial police of Besançon are continuing their investigations to determine for what use were intended these explosives.
