The Euro-Mediterranean Seismic Center estimated the magnitude of the earthquake at 6.7.

According to their data, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 273 km southwest of Angarsk, Irkutsk region.

The hearth was located at a depth of 10 km.

Over the next five hours, EMSC recorded eight more aftershocks.

Its energy class was 15.2, and its epicenter was in the area of ​​Lake Khubsugul in the north of Mongolia, about 300 km from Irkutsk.

In the administrative center of the Irkutsk region, the intensity of the earthquake was estimated at 5 points.
