Herscheid (dpa / lnw) - A dispute over a parking lot for hikers at Nordhelle in the Märkischer Kreis has degenerated into a tangible argument with a slap in the face.

According to the police on Tuesday, a 27-year-old woman and her dog were defending an empty parking space that a driver wanted to use.

The 32-year-old steered his car into the gap on Sunday, saying that a parking space could not be reserved.

The woman then kicked his car.

"The man got out and caught the slap," wrote the officials.

The woman had declared her reaction to be self-defense to the officers who were called.

The man almost ran over her dog and pushed her, she said.

The police wrote two charges of assault.
