In the EU = European Union, where vaccination with the new coronavirus has begun, full-scale consideration will begin on the introduction of a common certificate that allows vaccinated people to move freely between member states. became.

In the EU, vaccination against the new coronavirus developed by major American pharmaceutical company Pfizer and others began all at once from the end of last month.

Against this backdrop, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mizotakus sent a letter to EU Chairman Von der Leyen on the 12th, proposing to create a common certificate in the EU for vaccination.

The letter said, "Although vaccination is not an obligation or condition for travel, vaccinated people should be allowed to move freely."

At the same time, a sample certificate that the Greek government is preparing is attached to the letter.

Free movement across national borders is permitted among many member states in the EU, but due to the spread of infection, some countries also submit a negative proof of entry to travelers from member states. We also require voluntary quarantine for 10 or 14 days after entering the country.

The Greek government wants to introduce it before the spring tourism season as the tourism industry, an important industry in the EU, has been severely hit by the restricted movement of people.
