Egypt reopens its airspace to Qatari aviation

Egypt decided to lift the flight ban for Qatari planes in Egyptian airspace and airports, starting today, Tuesday, after signing the "Al-Ula Statement" issued by the 41st summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council recently.

Informed Egyptian shipping sources stated that "Egyptian airspace was opened to Qatari aircraft in the first minute of today, Tuesday, January 12th."

"According to the decision, Qatari aircraft can cross Egyptian airspace or land at its airports, starting at midnight," she added.

She explained that air transport agreements between Egypt and Qatar will be revitalized, allowing Egyptian and Qatari airlines to organize flights to transport passengers and goods between Egypt and Qatar, pointing out that this implementation requires some time to obtain the necessary permits to operate.
