Alpine skiing: Shiffrin wins the Flachau slalom, his first in over a year

The American Mikaela Shiffrin, three-time winner of the Big Globe, won the night slalom of the Alpine Skiing World Cup in Flachau (Austria) on Tuesday, her first victory in her favorite discipline in over a year.
For her 100th World Cup podium at 25, Shiffrin edged Austria's Katharina Liensberger by 19 / 100th and Switzerland's Wendy Holdener by 43/100.
