Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - Hessen receives 4800 doses of the corona vaccine from the US manufacturer Moderna with an initial delivery.
Immediately after delivery, half of the amount delivered could be distributed to the vaccination centers, in order to be injected by the mobile teams, said a spokesman for the Hessian Ministry of the Interior at the request of the German press agency.
The federal government announced the delivery for this Tuesday.
As before, according to the spokesman, half of the available amount of the Moderna vaccine is initially stored safely in the state's distribution center on the advice of the federal government, so that the important second vaccination with the same vaccine can be guaranteed in any case.
In Hesse, registration for the corona vaccination for women and men over 80 years of age began on Tuesday. At the start of vaccination registration, both the telephone hotline and the online portal for making appointments were temporarily unavailable due to the high demand.
