Münsingen (dpa / lsw) - After an unsuccessful overtaking maneuver on federal highway 465, three people were injured.
A 71-year-old driver tried on Monday evening near Münsingen (Reutlingen district) to overtake a car driving in front of him and a tanker, the police said.
He overlooked an oncoming 26-year-old driver and collided with her car.
The older man and his 69-year-old passenger were then thrown against the tank truck with their car - both car occupants were seriously injured.
The driver of the tanker was uninjured and the 26-year-old woman suffered minor injuries.
The three injured were taken to Kranlenhäuser.
