Berlin (dpa / bb) - The table tennis women from TTC Berlin Eastside have won the cup title for the seventh time since 2014.

In the final of the Final Four, which was held without spectators in their own hall, they defeated DJK Kolbermoor 3-2 on Sunday.

Eastside was 3-0 (9: 1 sets) through three successes by Shan Xiaona, Britt Eerland and Nina Mittelham in the 90-minute quick pass against ESV Weil in the final.

The final was a competitive game with a set ratio of 11: 9 and 202: 195 points in favor of Eastside.

For Eastside, the cup win was the second success after winning the Champions League to the desired triple - only the championship is still pending.

Britt Eerland won the opening match against ex-Berliner Kristin Lang with 3-1 sets. In the second individual, Shan Xiaona, who was in second place, lost 3-2 to Kolbermoor's number 1 Fu Yu, who was still active for Eastside in the previous season. Nina Mittelham brought the TTC back into the lead with her 3-1 win over Yuan Wan (2-1). Once again, however, Fu Yu equalized 3-0 to 2-2 in the top singles against Eerland, so that the double between Shan Xiaona / Nina Mittelham and Kristin Lang / Yuan Wan had to decide. This went to the Berlin duo with 3: 1 sets.
