Putin congratulated Japarov on his victory in the presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan

“Please accept my sincere congratulations on your election to the presidency ... I wish you success, as well as good health and prosperity,” he said.

At the same time, Putin expressed the hope that Japarov, as head of the country, would contribute to further building up the entire range of Russian-Kyrgyz ties.

“This, undoubtedly, meets the fundamental interests of our friendly peoples, goes in line with the strengthening of stability and security in the Central Asian region,” the Russian president added.

Earlier, the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev congratulated Sadyr Japarov on his victory in the elections.
