Two brothers aged 26 and 30 were sentenced to one and two years in prison before the Annecy criminal court for "willful violence", after having violently attacked residents of La Balme de Sillingy ( Haute-Savoie), a few hours after New Year's Eve.
On the night of December 31 to January 1, after prolonged festivities, an altercation occurred in an apartment in the town between a guest and one of his hosts, the Haute-Savoie gendarmerie indicated on social networks on Monday.
Asked to leave the scene, the 30-year-old defendant, very alcoholic and drugged, called his brother to the rescue.
Around 2 p.m., the two men, equipped with a can of gasoline, returned to the organizers of the party, ready to do battle.

One of the occupants of the apartment was sprayed with gasoline and then another argument broke out.
In the fight, one of the two brothers grabbed a lighter and set the apartment on fire before fleeing.
Fortunately, the victims managed to extinguish the fire, burning themselves slightly.
Quickly identified, the two attackers were taken into police custody on January 5 and then tried in immediate appearance last week.
The brothers were imprisoned at the end of their judgment, add the gendarmes.
