Munich (dpa) - Dynamo Dresden started the new year with an away defeat.

The leaders of the 3rd soccer league were defeated by Türkgücü Munich 0: 1 (0: 1) on Monday evening and lost for the first time after eight league games without a defeat.

The lead on the relegation rank is still five points.

Newcomer Munich, for whom Sercan Sararer scored the winning goal in the 32nd minute in the Grünwalder Stadium, is now sixth with 27 points.

Dynamo had more of the game, but especially in the first 45 minutes, they couldn't profit from their superiority.

Scoring chances initially remained in short supply.

Türkgücü, on the other hand, used his only opportunity thanks to Sararer ice cold, because Dresden's Robin Becker previously carelessly played the ball to assist Furkan Kircicek in the feet.

In the second half, the action took place almost exclusively in the Munich half, with Markus Kauczinski's team failing to score only one goal.

Philipp Hosiner with an overhead kick and hoe (48th / 88th) and Ransford Königsdörffer (56th) from almost 16 meters only just failed.

Munich vehemently defended the lead and inflicted the first defeat on the league leaders since early November 2020.
