Nordhorn (dpa / lni) - The first district with a nightly exit restriction in Lower Saxony - the county of Bentheim - wants to take stock after just under three weeks on Monday.

Then the district administration also wants to announce whether the measure will be extended.

According to the original plans, it will apply until this Tuesday.

The district had introduced the restriction on December 23, when 216.5 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants were recorded within a week.

Since then, residents are only allowed to leave houses and properties in the district between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next morning for professional or medical reasons.

As the police said in the meantime, the population largely respected the stricter rules, but the officials also repeatedly found violations.
