The State of Bahrain announced that Qatar Airways planes would be permitted to fly in its airspace, less than a week after the signing of the Gulf reconciliation in the Saudi city of Al-Ula.

The Civil Aviation Affairs at the Bahraini Ministry of Transport and Communications said that it was decided to continue to allow Qatari aircraft to use their airspace and to amend their navigation notices.

The decision will take effect from Monday morning after midnight Greenwich Mean Time.

Saudi Arabia reopened the Salwa-Abu Samra border crossing with Qatar on Saturday morning, and Qatar Airways and Saudi Arabia announced on Saturday that flights between the two countries would operate, starting from Monday.

The UAE also reopened all land, sea and air ports with the State of Qatar, starting from Saturday.

The Gulf Cooperation Council summit, which was held in the Saudi city of Al-Ula last Tuesday, announced the end of the Gulf crisis, which lasted more than 3 years, and led to Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt severing their political and diplomatic relations and closing the borders and airspace with Qatar.
