Based in Falun, the family business has been producing sausages for 130 years or for five generations.

The company, which until now has produced falu sausage, barbecue sausage and ham, now sells its work machines and thanks for the time they had.

- It is partly self-inflicted, we have not been good at selling branded products in Dalarna, says Pär Olsson, CEO of Melkers Chark AB.

- If we had chosen to invest only in the domestic market, we might not have been bankrupt today, but our ambition was to sell at national level.

The family business has had close relationships with its employees and several employees have worked at the company for a long time.

But the competition with the grocery stores' own goods became too great and Melkers Chark did not prevail.

Bankruptcy affects 30 employees.
