Munich (dpa) - World footballer Robert Lewandowski has been named Poland's Sportsman of the Year.
"I'm very happy about the award that I received thanks to the votes of the Polish fans," said Lewandowski on Sunday on the FC Bayern Munich website.
"I believe that the next big moments and successes are still ahead of us."
For Lewandowski it is the second success in the election for Polish athlete of the year after 2015.
The 32-year-old won this in front of the French Open winner Iga Świątek and the winner of the Four Hills Tournament, Kamil Stoch.
