The Executive Director of the Supportive Medical Services and Nursing Services at the Dubai Health Authority, Dr. Farida Al Khaja, said in an interview on Dubai TV today that the authority took into account the highest international standards in choosing the vaccine to be approved in Dubai, after confirming its approval by specialized international bodies, and reviewing its results. Al Khaja confirmed that the vaccine is available to all UAE citizens, and residents of Dubai only, aged 18 years and over, who have a health file number in the authority.

She stated that no side effects were observed for those who received the Pfizer vaccine in Dubai until today, as thousands of people received the first dose of the vaccination, and no side effects were reported to any of them.

The Emirate of Dubai intends to vaccinate about 70% of the emirate’s population before the end of this year, with the aim of providing the greatest degree of safety and health stability in society.
