Covid-19 in France: the government still on the defensive

Despite the acceleration of the vaccination campaign, the strategy of the executive continues to face strong criticism, especially among elected officials.

incompetence
and disorganization like that of Anne Hidalgo who scathingly declares in the
Journal du dimanche

Or Gérard Larcher who demands a partnership between the State and local communities.
Some
critics
increasingly poorly supported government.
After Jean Castex who had denounced "
sterile controversies
", it is the first of the roped party of the ministerial team, Olivier Véran, who could not restrain his exasperation and condemned the "
excesses
" of certain elected officials.
Not sure that this is enough to calm the attacks while the detection of the new variant of the virus and the prevention of a possible third confinement may again raise the question of the government's ability to anticipate.
