January 09, 2021After having previously banned it, Youtube now completely removes from its platform the "War Room" podcast by Steve Bannon, former strategist of Donald Trump and guru of the American far right.
A YouTube spokesperson told The Wrap that they "put an end to Steve Bannon's" War Room "channel and one associated with it for repeatedly violating our community rules," according to The Hill website.
In particular, it is believed that "videos with misleading content on alleged fraud and errors that changed the outcome of the presidential elections" are in violation of the rules.
"Channels that receive three penalties in 90 days will be permanently removed from Youtube," the spokesperson concluded.
Youtube had already intervened to censor Bannon for a video in which he had asked to "behead" Anthony Fauci, a claim that had prompted Twitter to suspend his account last November.
